When it works it is great. I had the machine for about a month when it started to malfunction. It is a circular machine with a nonstick surface, a hub with two curved wires sticking out from the hub to keep the beans turning and contacting the hot surface evenly. The machine is designed to rotate clockwise. When it does, the beans are turned nicely and they cook evenly. Very good. However, the electric motor that turns the hub started reversing and turning counterclockwise, causing the beans to not get even exposure…

Concern About Safety of Non-Stock Coating Heating Nonstick Coatings/perfluorinated hydrocarbons is known to be a health hazard. This product is made in CHINA. No safety information about the type of non-stick coating is included. Does it contain PFOAs? I would not roast coffee or anything else in this out of health & safety concerns.

This does work I’ve bought hundreds of things on amazon, this is my third review. I’m very picky.I was skeptical… $136 for what looks like a shallow crock pot. However, when I compared the price to other roasters, it was worth a shot. If it works, it’s a good deal.I open the box, the instructions are in poor english and it’s clearly not heavy duty.
