Iffy product * * *Updated * * *I opened the other 2. I boiled enough water to fill both then placed the lids on. 1 of these got hot to the touch. I also let them sit for about 20 minutes then used a thermometer t check the water temperature. The “cool” tot he touch had a water temp of 180 F. The “hot” to touch temp had dropped to 160. I did call and talk to Bodum and they say the outer shell should not be getting hot. The 2 that work correctly are great but a 60% defect rate is a little high…
