The Bodum company got its start in Denmark in 1944, when Peter Bodum started a business wholesaling household products. Today, the Bodum brand, known for its innovative coffee press, as well as its tea makers, is still family-owned.

The French press coffee maker is the simplest of all brewing systems, where coarsely ground beans meet hot water right off the boil.
The right temperature (92-96 °C, 195-205 °F) brings the optimal extraction power for the essential oils in the beans to develop their full flavor profile in just four minutes.
An easy press on the plunger locks the grinds at the bottom of the glass carafe and stops the brewing process.

Bistro Double Wall Glasses that Breathe
A silicone vent at the base of each of Bodum’s Double Wall Glasses equalizes the air pressure between the two layers of glass when either hot or cold liquids are added.
Permeable only to air, never water, the vent enhances durability and will never allow liquids to enter between the two layers, serves best if used to keep ice cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot
Every Double Wall Glass is mouth-blown by expert artisans, and therefore each may have slight differences in height, thickness, and weight.
