lasts better than others. After buying cheaper, eco-friendly bamboo french presses, then repairing and repairing and repairing them decided Eco-friendly bamboo french presses are a lie cuz it breaks and you have to keep buying more of them.Bodum is the longest lasting french presses I’ve owned. The walls don’t cloud up, the handles don’t break off, the pour doesn’t spill, etc. So it deserves 5 stars for lasting and just working without drama.
Not as good as the others. Great glass carafe. Good for in a bind. Very low cost. But is not made as well as my other Bodums when I compared the internal parts to my old ones. It fell apart within 6 months. I am still using the glass insert. I think that buying it this way was less than buying the replacement glass decanter.
When I think of a French coffee press, this one is what I envision. Great coffee press. Seems to handle espresso grind and regular grind equally well. Easy to clean, attractive, and price was unbeatable (Add-on Item for under $10). I would still say it has great value at the regular price of $22. Only negative comment is that the glass feels and sounds fragile. I’m always nervous when washing it and careful to ensure that I do not bang it against our cast iron sink unintentionally.
