- Five temperature settings perfect for different kinds of teas: 60 DegreeC/140 DegreeF, 70 DegreeC/158 DegreeF, 80 DegreeC/176 DegreeF, 90 DegreeC/194 DegreeF and boiling.
- The inner glass wall is made of borosilicate glass, the outer one of Transparent plastic. It protects the glass, insulates, and keeps you from burning your fingers.
- The water only comes in contact with glass – the process is therefore BPA-free.
- Mesh-screen spout captures chalk while pouring.
- The Transparent container makes it easier to control the water level. The scale line indicates liters, ounces and cups.

Great Kettle except for keep warm feature This kettle is attractive and functional. Love the multiple temperatures. It is fast too. The only drawback is the “keep hot” functionality. It keeps hot at the temperature you selected until you pick up the kettle, so if you want a 2nd cup, the keep warm has already shut off when you pulled it off for your first cup.
Favorite kettle! Excellent! Much needed improvement over the previous version. Handle is very comfortable to hold now. Temperature adjustment is very nice but I don’t use it frequently. It is incredibly fast in boiling water. Faster than any other electric kettles I tried out in the past.
GREAT product but rust forms on heating plate Received this second Bodum, a replacement after rust developed on heating plate at bottom of the fist one we got – and just this week, after about 2 months – a new little rust spot on the metal heating plate developed of this second, replacement Bodum. Will contact Amazon customer service…obviously this product is defective – It works GREAT though! It’s a shame, and will contact Bodum to let the company know.
