Easy Programming Features, Mess-Free Sneak-a-Cup, and Simplistic Design Make this Coffee Maker a Star in My Caffeine Arsenal. I really, really like this coffee maker. For a drip coffee maker averaging at about $20.00, you really can’t go wrong with the CM1050W. This one has JUST the right amount of features, my favorites including the two-hours shut off and relatively quick brew time. Also, bought mine in white, and it is just soooo nice to look at, not to mention easy to tell when I need to clean it.Personally, I don’t use the sneak-a-cup feature as I find the first cup that drips out to be very strong and the rest of the pot lacks for want of it. Also, if you grind your own beans, you’re probably aware that the longer the grounds are exposed to air, the overall quality of the coffee decreases, thus lowering the quality of every pot you program to brew ahead of time. If you buy pre-ground coffee, this probably doesn’t make much of a difference. One other note would be the relatively low brew temperature, but if you pay attention to details like that, you’re probably not in the market to buy a…

Works! “Love it” might be an overstatement for a coffeemaker, but given how much crap is out there, my appreciation level is quite high. If you’re doing the search to replace your coffeemaker that died after just a few years, then you’re probably a little hesitant to spend a lot of money on a new one. That’s what brought me to this Black & Decker, which was selling for under $20 on Amazon. However, I was also keeping an eye open for a unit that would last me more than just a few years – like the one I had 10 years ago. Although I didn’t try out all the expensive machines, I had a couple, and I’ve come to the conclusion that durable, problem-free coffeemakers are a thing of the past. So here’s hoping this machine has a decent lifespan, for it does make good coffee, has everything on it to make it a simple process and doesn’t leak anywhere. Make sure you twist the filter cup into the lock position and the CM1050B 12 cup programmable Black & Decker coffeemaker should be perfect…

Great coffee pot This is my second B&D coffee pot. I bought the first about 4 years ago. The only thing I didn’t like about that one was the top did not close tightly, which sometimes caused the paper filter to pull down while brewing and getting grinds into the coffee. That issue has been corrected on this newer model. My original pot was still working fine but it was white and I wanted black for a new look in the kitchen. The only thing I don’t like about the new pot is that the glass carafe only has the cup measurements on one side, the old one had it on both sides. This is uncomfortable for me in the morning when I fill up the pot with water as I have to turn the pot to see the markings. This is the reason I only gave 4 stars instead of 5.I have had higher end coffee pots in the past but they only lasted a year or less. I saw a lot of negative comments about this coffee pot which I don’t understand. I like it. It makes me coffee every morning, it goes in the carafe not on the…
