Poor quality and Ridiculously hard warranty We have had this machine for 6 months. While I like the coffee it produces, it started to fail after 4 months. First, the coffee needed to be manually restarted during latte production, then the milk stopped working unless you pressed and held the canister tightly to the machine while it brewed. I think having to take the mik canister on and off every time you use it coupled with the fact that the connector is plastic is a design flaw. Basically a failure waiting to happen.
Poor Build Quality, Design Flaw When you read the instruction manual, it tells you that to control the strength of your coffee (to dilute it), use the “M” button. This appears to be the only way to brew a black coffee, as opposed to an espresso drink. When you press the “M” button, the brewing chamber fills with water faster than the spout can emit the water. What happens next is the excess water spills out of the brewing chamber and into the internal electrical components of the machine, causing a short and tripping the GFI…
excellent machine with superior coffee! I bought this machine from Bloomingdale’s and absolutely love it! I’m obsessed with illy coffee and so thrilled to finally brew in this format in my kitchen. I have had several espresso parties since receiving the machine and love being able to make 6 milk based drinks without refilling the reservoir!
