It was good while it lasted It was good while it lasted. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize I was buying a $300 disposable coffee grinder. The plastic nozzle cover (the part the meets the the top of the glass jar has developed chips/cracks around the edges. Now the jar hangs up on it making it almost impossible to move the jar in and out.I contacted Kitchen Aid and they said so sad too bad. For want of a $2 part I will be tossing this papa-oscar-sierra.My email to kitchenaid:…

Something has changed with this grinder…. I purchased one of these for my cottage over a year ago, and it’s a solid grinder. I purchased a second one for home use just recently, and the motor sounds strained. It actually seized up and I had to return it. I thought it was possibly just a bad unit, but the replacement also sounds strained. I’m guessing if I open the two up, I’ll find they went to a cheaper motor powering the grinder. Shame on you Kitchen Aid. We rely on you to produce quality products.
