Quiet and perfect grinds I had a Cuisinart conical burr grinder. MISTAKE. Like others’ experiences, mine just quit after a short while. I was hesitant to buy an electric burr grinder after my Cuisinart experience. For a while I ground using a mini food chopper, then got a Mr. Coffee blade grinder. Mr. Coffee had a number of cups and fineness control both of which were essentially useless. Manually grinding and monitoring were more effective. An inexpensive way to upgrade from your blade grinder. We wanted a burr grinder that would not take up counter space. This sturdy grinder takes up not much more space that our blade grinder (you know the ones designed for grinding spices?) and produces much more uniform ground coffee.
great grinder for the money Having been through several burr type grinders, the last being a CuisineArt we decided on the DeLonghi. Compared to the others this unit makes considerably less noise, more like that of a blade grinder.
