Makes great coffee, but… I bought this coffee maker because the one I had was not heating the water to an adequate temperature to extract and optimize flavor.

A truly great coffeemaker and not expensive!! I purchased this coffeemaker as a replacement for the earlier version of the same model. (Not complaining, the older one lasted 10 years.) Several design improvements, some quite subtle and ingenious, mean that this device delivers perfectly brewed coffee very, very hot and with a minimum of fuss. My only caution is that as I write – mid-May 2014 – this model is so new that it isn’t on the Cuisinart website yet, so if you want to buy accessories like a metal mesh filter, you’ll have…
