Big Capacity, Small Footprint. Mediocre Quality and Longevity, Other Quirks UPDATE 10/29/2016 – It has been about 2 years owning this unit and using it at least once a day. I can say that I got a reasonable life out of the machine but the last year things have been going downhill. I now need to shop for a new coffee maker and I am shying away from purchasing this one again. I think I would spend a little more money to get something better. The four reasons I would not buy this unit again are as follows:
Energy Efficient and Stays Relatively Hot 160 – 170 degree range Bought this from a store locally and paid the same. I like it.
Black and Decker coffee pot This coffee pot is a piece of junk. We bought it about a year ago and 4 – 5 months later the lid broke, Black and Decker replaced it but it has broken again. It makes greatcoffee but the lid issue is the reason I am giving it a 2 star rating. When the lid breaks it leaks coffee when you pour a cup of coffee it also allows coffee to run down on the rest of the coffee maker when brewing coffee. The caraffe is good as it keeps the coffee hot for 4 – 5 hours but the lid is another matter. It…
