Best French press for the money! Among the press style coffee makers, the P7 represents an almost perfect combination of form and function. Great design. Great product. I’m a total coffee geek and roast my own coffee. For several years I’ve used a “better” auto drip machine. French roast is one of the best ways to make excellent coffee but standard French Presses tend to let some grounds into the coffee. This design solves that and yields excellent results. I see no reason to use to optional paper filters as I get no grit in my coffee – the double mesh system works extremely well. It’s possible that with a cheap grinder this would be less so.I…
Best cup, but… It makes the best cup of coffee ever, hands down. Piping hot with hardly a trace of grit, like a drip coffeemaker or Chemex with a reusable mesh filter, maybe even better. Five stars for that. But, after using it for about two months, two issues come up.One, get the 18 oz. version if you only want to make a single cup. The 32 oz. version will simply not function properly unless the water with grounds reaches a minimum fill line of four cups (32 oz.). The thing will actually hold five…
